Touch is more than physical contact. It’s communication, safety, intimacy, and presence. In this Intimacy Hour, Rachel Keller, LCSW-C, CST, and Platonic Touch Practitioner, Jasmine Siemon will guide you through the science and practice of touch, including consent frameworks, the five elements of touch, and engaging exercises that help you connect more authentically with yourself and others.
It's time to share the love. We're offering complimentary hugs and empathetic conversations. No strings attached, just pure human connection. Ever felt a boost from a random act of kindness? Now's your turn to spread the positivity. Join us and fellow compassionate souls to uplift someone's day. Even a short chat can leave a lasting impression, reminding people they're heard and appreciated.

I can’t be the only one who craves nurturing touch and human connection. That’s why I’m thrilled to bring another Consent & Cuddles event to the DMV—a space where we can connect authentically and on a deeper level.
Who here learned about consent and boundaries? Who was taught to maintain agency over their body?
If you raised your hand, you are among the lucky few. The reality is that most people were never taught how to:
Ask for the touch they want.
Explore pleasurable sensations with confidence.
Say “no” firmly and confidently without fearing rejection or worrying about hurting someone’s feelings.
What if I told you that you don’t have to carry the burden of someone else’s feelings? What if you could be fully present in your skin, in a space where your needs come first—free from guilt, judgment, or obligation?
This month’s Consent & Cuddles event is dedicated to women/femme individuals. Together, we will create a space to comfortably share, listen, explore, and connect in safe, consensual, and loving ways.

Schedule
12:00 PM – Arrival: come in, put down stuff, set out any shareable snacks, and get a feel for the space so you feel at ease and comfortable.
12:30 PM – Welcome Circle: the heart of our gathering. This is where we set the tone for the day by practicing boundary-setting and exploring how to communicate around consent. Whether or not you choose to participate in touch, this part is for everyone. You can maintain social distance if that feels best for you—no touch is ever required.
1:30 PM – Activities: cuddling, eye-gazing, partner stretching, ASMR, back rubs, polyvagal coregulation exercises, deep listening, synchronized breathing, hugs, honest communication, laughing, dancing, journaling, card game.
3:15 PM – Closing Circle: this is a time to reflect and connect one last time before we part ways. This is your chance to share insights, express gratitude, and highlight moments that stood out to you. If you’d like, you can also share announcements or appreciation. The Closing Circle is a warm and grounding way to bring the experience to a close and leave feeling supported and seen.

During these unprecedented times we as practitioners are trying to determine how we can support our clients moving them from in-person session to telesessions and still help them feel connected. All of this while we, ourselves still need to feel connected. It is not necessary to figure it out alone. We can do it together.
I invite you to join me for a webinar Friday, April 10th at 1:00pm EST to share with you what I have implemented in my daily routine to stay motivated, juggling kids and family all while still showing up for clients. However, I also want all of you to share what is working for you not just for telesessions, but also what you are doing to take care of yourself. I think it is time we connect.
I will be hosting this webinar on the Zoom platform. Listed below are a few things you will need to have a successful webinar experience with everyone. I have learned over the last few weeks from other webinars what we should keep in mind when Zooming. Sorry, couldn’t help myself.
If you do not have Zoom you can download it at Zoom.us for free.
You will need reliable internet so you can join and connect with us using audio and video. The idea is for all of us to see, hear and share with each other.
Use a device with a large screen so we can all see each other using the Gallery options.
After you register here you will receive an email that will have a link and password for you to attend the event.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to see all of my fellow practitioners and therapists and I’m so excited to spend this time with you.
PLEASE NOTE:
Registration will close 1 hour before the webinar starts. Friday, 4/10 at 12:00pm EST registration closes.
Affection Workshops are designed for participants to discover intimacy, boundaries, consent and both verbal and non-verbal communication while incorporating mindfulness, stretching and intentional movement in a 3 hour event.
The workshops are non-sexual and platonic in nature. We provide an atmosphere to discover different types of touch. Nurturing, healing and therapeutic touch are all open for discovery.
We will create a safe space to practice consent and setting boundaries. This environment is conducive to open communication without any judgement or shame for asking for what you need or want. When an agreement as been made it creates a beautiful space to explore.
Besides the practices listed above, we will also include mindfulness and stretching. Throughout the event you will have the opportunity to experience mindfulness either through guided seated meditation or walking mindfulness meditation from the teachings of MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.)
You are never required to participate in any of the activities if you so choose.
There will be snacks and refreshments provided however you are welcome to bring something to share. This is a drug and alcohol free event.
Wear something comfortable such as workout clothes, sweats, jammie-jams (pajamas) yoga or gym wear. You'll want to be comfortable and move around easily.
